The Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) is the world's largest low-frequency radio telescope array, located near Khodad in Junnar Taluka, approximately 80 km north of Pune. Operated by the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA), GMRT is a globally recognized facility dedicated to advanced astrophysical and radio astronomy research. The industrial visit provided students with valuable exposure to cutting-edge scientific infrastructure, radio astronomy technologies, and large-scale research facilities.
