On the 10th of January 2020, the students of First Year Engg. Visit PCCOER NSS camp held at Village Mau and Vadeshwar in Maval Taluka of Pune District. The Aim of the visit was to introduce students to social work and to make students aware of the difficulties faced by rural India.

A day Long Faculty Orientation Workshop on Engineering Physics under the guidelines of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) was organized By PCCOER Ravet on 31st July 2019 .The programme was inaugurated By Dignitaries like Dr. Shaligram ,Dean, Science and technology SPPU,Dr. N.S. Mujmdar,Chairman ,Board of Study ,Dr. Sunil Kandalkar,BOS member ,Dr. H. U. Tiwari,Principal,Pccoer.
The main objective of this workshop was to introduce & incubate new syllabus to Engineering Physics by senior experienced Faculty members. The programe saw whopping participation of faculty members from various colleges. The Programme was co ordinate by Mrs. Sonali Kanase, Head, Department Applied Sciences, Mrs. Priya Oghe, Mr.Sandeep Borgaonkar & Applied Science Faculties.
Name of the Event: Engg. Maths Workshop
Date: 18, 19 July, 2019
On 18 & 19 July, 2019 a Bridge Course for Direct Second Year Students on “Pre-requisites for Engg. Maths III” organised by Department of First Year Engineering. The aim of the programme was:
- To address the difficulties in maths of students who take admission in Second Year after completing Diploma (Polytechnique).
- To revise and brush up the basics of mathematics required in Engg. Maths III
- To guide the students so that they understand importance of Engineering Mathematics in Engineering. regarding the industrial placement scenario
The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Harish U. Tiwari on 18 July, 2019 at 10am. In his address to students, he told the importance of Mathematics in Engineering. The dignitaries present at the programme were, the First Year Department HOD Mrs. Sonali Kanase & Mrs. Manisha Deshpande. In her address Mrs. Kanase madam told about different activities conducted by first Year Department throughout the year. Mrs. Deshpande madam gave brief introduction to workshop & content to be covered in next two days.

It was welcome Programme for the newly admitted students of First year Engineering 2018-19. Objective of the function was to guide newly admitted students to set academic and carrier goals. Dr. H.U. Tiwari advised students to develop innovative ideas and get involved in research activities. Dr. A. M. Fulumbarkar guided students to keep right attitude to achieve goals in academics as well as in carrier . Mr. Vivek Velankar encouraged students to focus on overall development of one’s personality, Mrs. Sonali Kanase, Head of the Department, explained about the college policies, departments and facilities.
Prof. Shitalkumar Rawandale, shared his expert view about the placement scenario. Prof. Sandeep Borgaonkar presented college video and shared information about college. During function, students were appreciated by college for their academic achievements.
The program was coordinated by Prof. Priya Oghe, anchored by Prof. Deepshikha Shrivastava and vote of thanks was given by Prof. Priya Oghe.
POSITIVE THINKING AND STUDY SUCCESS SESSION

First year Engineering 2017-18 for the Power of positive thinking and
self motivation , guest lecture on study success By Dr. Patil Sir from
Manshakti Reaearch Center and an inspirational lecture to succeed in
theory examination by Prof. Vijay Nawale who is famous for carrier
guide & inspirational speaker was conducted on 26th August 2017, 14th
October 2017 and 03rd Nov. 2017 respectively.

INAUGRATION OF Engineering Enthusiasts Club/Katta

The Engineering Enthusiasts Club or simply the Engineers’ Katta, was formed on 12 January 2018. The inauguration ceremony took place with the respected Principal doing the inauguration as well as giving a talk on the topic and its importance in engineering, along with a talk by Mr. Aniket Bhor, the club coordinator, giving more insight about the what, how and why of the club.
Taking into consideration the fact that a significant number of students have impressive innovative ideas related to science and engineering, along with the fact that theoretical learning of a specified syllabus should be coupled with an open practical based learning The club has weekly meeting sessions where all the new ideas and possible implementations are discussed along with activities such as watching innovation-related videos or films. Feasible ideas are worked upon as voluntary engineering projects.

The purpose of education is to prepare a person for life. This course is organized every year in Semester I for first year engineering students in first week of commencement of classes. YES!+ is a powerful life-skills program, that challenges young people to reach their highest potential and has made a difference to thousands across the world. It was organized from 20 July 2015 to 25July 2015 and all First Year Engineering students from our college have done this program in the academic year 2015-16.
