Activity Report 2020-21

Hands-on Workshop on Electronics Skill Development Lab

Objectives:-

1) To Learn Application of Electronics Principles in Practice.

2) To Learn Hardware Design, Fault Finding, Testing, Repair and Measuring.

3) To Learn Assembly, SMD Overview, Power Budgeting, Batteries ,Solar power generation system.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized two days hands-on Workshop under the subject “Electronics Skill Development Lab”, on 03rd & 04th Dec, 2020 by Mr. Abhijeet Deogirikar & Mr.Yogesh Arun Yewale from Copper Cloud IOT Tech, Pune. They covered following topics:-

    • Electronic Components and Connections (Bread boarding)
    • Introduction and applications using Arduino, Sensors & Actuators and their interfacing with Arduino.
    • Drawing layout of PCB using PCB design software
    • Simulation software for design & testing of electronic circuits
    • Assemble and utilize mechanical parts such as DC Motor, AC Motor, Stepper motor Solenoid, sensors , surface mounted devise parts
    • Calculation of Power budget for an electronic circuit.
    • Use of various types of Batteries and solar power generation systems.

    Outcome: In this workshop, students developed small applications using Ardiuno, Breadboard and sensors. students designed and tested simple electronic circuit using simulation software.

    One Week Product Development Workshop

    Objectives: To add new scopes to educate concepts and proficiency among the students in the field of Electronics Product Development.

    Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized One week Product Development Workshop for TE(E&TC) Students from 8th March 2021 to 12th March 2021. The workshop was conducted by Dr.Anand kakade from Anand Techno Creations satara.

    • They covered following topics
    • Design of single sided PCB using Dip trace software.
    • Design of double sided PCB using Dip trace software.
    • Soldering the PCB
    • How to program PIC development board.
    • Testing final PCB using simple code of LED,LCD interfacing.

    Outcomes: In this workshop student designed and developed their own PIC development Board which can be further used to develop any application. Proposed workshop definitely enhanced the designing and development skills of the students which will prove as an asset for them in their future.

    Workshop on 3-D Printing

    Objectives:-

    1) To understand the design aspects of the 3D printable file.

    2) To design a physical objects from a digital design.

    3) Know about 3D printing case studies.

    4) To be aware of materials available for consumer 3D printing.

    Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized two days hands-on Workshop under the subject “3-D printing”, on 26th & 27th Feb, 2021 by Mr. Ayush Kedari and Mr. Akash Jain from SE (E&TC), PCCOER, Ravet. They covered following topics:-

    • Basics of 3-D printing, 3-D printing software information, Designing of object digitally
    • Hands on designing of 3-D printing (Keychain, wire printing, mobile cover designing)
    • Hands on designing of 3-D printing (Hammer, Funnel, Spiderman Mask Design )
    • Brain storming session for product design
    • During the span of two days, they also motivated the students to perform “Hands on Activity” on the 3D Printer so that every student has a visualized knowledge of 3D Printers and its working procedure.
    • They later gave the students a live problem to which they told them to perform brain storming together and works out different ideas for the same and gave viable Design solutions.
    Outcome: • Upon the completion of this course, students will have the solid understanding of 3D printing, its potential, and ability to print 3D designs.
    • Students are able to design the prototype of any module/idea using 3-D printer.
    • Students are able to design a physical object from a digital design.

    Industry Institute Meet 2020-21

    Objectives:

    1. The preliminary objective of this event is to Interact with various Industry Representative to know current Industry trend about E&TC Engineering.

    2. To plan various activities under MOU for E&TC Engineering department.

    Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized Industry Institute Meet 2020-21 on 27th March 2021. In the beginning, Prof Dr. Harish Tiwari (Principal, PCCOER) gave the introduction about college. After inauguration Dr. Rahul Mapari (Head,E&TC) gave brief introduction of Electronics & Telecommunication engineering department and also discussed about expectation from industry. Later on each industry representative have presented their ideas of activities which can be planned for department. Various point have been discussed during meeting. Following industry delegates were present for the meeting.

    Department of Electronics and Telecommunication organized two week workshop on Design and development of Dual Regulated Power Supply from 18th January, 2021 to 30th January, 2021. In the beginning, Mr. Anand Kakde gave the introduction on Power Supply and its various applications in the today’s world. Later they explained the different types of Power Supply and its application in today’s time.. They have given detailed information of digital design on Power Supply. During the span of two weeks , they also motivated the Participant s to perform “Component Mounting and Circuit Assembly ” of the Power Supply and so that every Participant has able to develop it .
