DRONE TECHNOLOGYGUEST LECTURE
Objective: To create an interest in Drone Technology
Brief Description of activity: Drone Technology Guest Lecture was organized on 14th August 2018, for final year E&TC students. It was conducted by Mr. MeghshyamRaju from Value Thoughts IT Solutions, Hyderabad. He explained need of the drone technology and procedure of making drones. He also demonstrated the flying of a drone. The lecture was very useful for making drone.
Outcomes: Students learned about the different areas where drone can be used and they showed willingness to take participation in 300 Hrs. course.
RECENT TRENDS IN VLSI DESIGN AND VERIFICATION TECHNOLOGY USING EDA TOOLS
Objective: To learn and more about popular language for designing any digital circuit using EDA Tools.
Brief Description of activity: Two days’ workshop on “Recent Trends in VLSI design and verification Technology using EDA Tools” for BE E&TC Students on 19/09/2018 & 20/09/2018. It was conducted by Mr. Shrikant R. Atkarne.
The objectives of the workshop were Exposure to VLSI/ ASIC Design, Hands on VLSI Back end design tools, Hands on VLSI Front end design tools and to study the CMOS VLSI Design Issues. The participants learnt designing of Mix-Signal circuits, CMOS Current Mirror circuit design and analysis, CMOS Differential Amplifier and its analysis, Analysis with CMRR (Ad and Acm), Output impedance, Bandwidth and Schmitt Trigger and its analysis UTP and LTP Value finding.
Outcomes: Students implemented circuits using VLSI Front & Back end design tools. They learned Micro wind software and designed various circuits and measured the performance parameters.
Lecture on Humanity,Ethics and Values
Objective: To percolate ethics and values in staff and students to make not only good engineer but good human also.
Brief Description of activity: Principal Prof. Dr. H.U Tiwari and HOD Of E&TC Department Prof. Dr. R.G. Mapari and HOD of all other department were Present for this Lecture on Humanity,Ethics and Values. They motivate the studentsas well as teachers. Hon’ble SubodhBhau,RashtrantTukdojiMaharaj,Adyaltekdi,bramhpuri were present for this lecture.
Outcomes: Audience knew the responsibilities of engineer to serve to the society. They also understand what the real life to live is.
EMBEDDED LINUX WORKSHOP
Objective: The objectives of the workshop were Exposure to Embedded Linux.
Brief Description of activity: Two day’s workshop on "Embedded Linux" for BE E&TC Students on 21/09/2018 & 22/09/2018. It was conducted by Mr. Mangesh Edake.
The objectives of the workshop were Exposure to Embedded Linux. Speaker explained about Introduction to Embedded Linux development system, kernel architecture, and file system porting Linux on ARM Architecture, different boot loaders, followed by the hands on session on basic Linux commands on virtual box. Hands on session on Porting of Linux on ARM Board,and programming for device driver with embedded Linux. Participants Learnt how to use Linux for embedded system development and basics about device driver.
Outcomes: The workshop helped students to become more familiar with Embedded Linux.Students can doporting on ARM Architecture.
PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PBL) EXHIBITION
Objective: To make learning more enjoyable and to enhance the critical thinking of students.
Brief Description of activity: Project Base Learning (PBL) Exhibition of Mechanical, E&TC, Civil, Computer and first year Department arranged on 22nd June 2018. The chief guest of the inaugural function was Hon’ble ShriDnyaneshwarLandage and trustee members Hon’ble VitthalKalbhor, Hon’ble ShantaramGarade, Hon’ble Smt. PadmataiBhosale and Prof. Dr. A M Fulambarkar were present.
Outcomes : All FE, SE, TE & BE students actively participated in it and present their models. The qualities like working in team, leadership and technical skills get enhanced.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO DOORDARSHAN KENDRA WORLI
Objective: To bridge the gap between industry and institute.
Brief Description of activity: ‘INDUSTRIAL VISIT’, to Doordarshan Kendra worli, MUMBAI was held on 06th September, 2018 for third year E&TC department. Main motto of visit was learning practical approach towards industry.
Where students have seen an array of parabolic dish Antennas, various transmitters, receivers and learned many ways of modulations. Along with, Engineers working there explained how whole transmission and reception system works with use of new advancement in technology.
Also the process of broadcasting live information, recorded information, information from (OBV) outside broadcasting van, was thoroughly explained by Dr. DASTAGIR SHALGIRE.
